Personality -
  • Feels threatened by Balder in the beginning because he is such a big personality
  • Peaceful
  • In touch with nature
  • Good, strong leader
  • Scared of change
  • Can be very opinionated
  • Secretive and guarded
  • Can be quite depressed and run-down
  • Has lost faith in the Old Norse gods
  • Can be quite defeated
  • Despite everything, she is very strong - is taking secretive action behind the scenes
History -
  • Was born in Native America - her father was the chief of the tribe and her mother was the leader of the "mothers"
  • As a young girl, she taught herself to fight - hated the fact that the enemy had oppressed them so much and wanted to fight them but was always aware that it wasn't the 'peaceful' solution - this is constantly an issue for her
  • Has had snippets of visions and prophesies since she was little, but these come and go
  • Descendent of Freyja and is thus the keeper of the Mjollnir, but she doesn't think it's really a significant object anymore because the Norse gods were meant to be dead
  • Was always a bit of a leader - her parents were so busy controlling the tribe that she was pretty much left to raise herself and therefore developed strong leadership and control skills
  • Her parents went to Scandinavia a couple of years ago when they had heard rumours of the end of Ragnarök for a variety of reasons : to see the effects on the old land, to see that the rumour was true, as a mission trip - to save those Norsemen who had survived and bring them to their colony (ulterior motive here is that they want to use these people to strengthen their population and their army).
  • Her parents have not returned and there is no news from them at all - they could be dead or alive, successful or unsuccessful
  • While her parents, the leaders of the tribe are gone, she is left in charge of the people - another reason why she seems so defeated and unwilling to stand up and fight and eager to meet the requests of the enemy for her people's safety - she wants to keep her people safe and alive and in the same place until her parents come which is when she wants to rise up and fight.
  • In waiting for the return of her parents and the Norse people, she has started to secretly build tunnels through the mountains to other Native villages where she is trying to recruit others to their community as well (these people might be more powerless and might be constantly on the run from the enemies and might like to join a safer/stronger community, or might be outcasts from both sides?) or could be setting up hideaways or storage areas for supplies, weapons, food etc.
  • There are rumours that her parents will never return and so there is pressure on her from the community to choose a husband to help her with ruling over her people but she is unwilling.
Motives -
  • To keep her people safe
  • To prevent attacks from their enemies by following their requests
  • To keep her people as out of sight, out of mind as possible
  • To keep her people alive - farming, medicine etc
  • To keep her people in the same spot until her parent's return
  • To secretly strengthen her army for when her parents return
  • To slowly start to build their supplies for the impending war
Special Abilities -
  • Has a sort of 6th sense
  • Perhaps her mother/grandmother was a "seer" and she might have a trace of that skill too, but not completely because of her loss of faith in the Old gods
  • In touch with nature, animals, the earth etc
  • Good skills in camouflage - can blend into nature well
Weapons -
  • Bow and arrow
Relationships -

>Balder
  • She initially feels threatened by him and angry that he is drawing so much attention to her people
  • She doesn't want to change her ways and is reluctant to give Balder the information he is requesting
  • She fiercely sticks up for her people against him
  • She eventually teaches him about the Native American ways and he begins to understand why she is doing what she is doing.
  • Once he starts to soften up to her people and begins to understand them, he begins to reach out to them and shows the girl his softer side - this is when she begins to fall in love with him
  • They eventually come together and compromise and begin to create an army, to train people, to strengthen their community, to better their houses, weapons etc and go on many smaller missions to recruit more people.
  • They become a really good team and teach each other a lot, learn a lot from each other
>The People
  • She is fiercely devoted to ensuring the safety of her people
  • She is a natural leader and has a lot of support from her people
  • Some members of the tribe support her 100%, others differ in opinion and thinks that it is her job to get them out of the crappy situation that they are in
  • These guys think that she is weak and should be making war - these are the people who immediately cling to Balder when he arrives.
  • She is overall very respected and loved and her people generally don't stand up to her
  • There is pressure from her people for her to pick a husband and take up proper leadership because her parents haven't returned
  • She is responsible for teaching her people about their history, the Old Norse and Native American ways
