Animatic

This is my animatic, which is based off my storyboard. I have redrawn the images after having taken reference photos with myself posing to get a clearer and more accurate idea of my characters and their poses.

I have changed a few of the scenes here -
>Scene 1 and 2 remain the same
>Scene 3 - the characters are viewed from their sides, same as in scene 2 - the camera zooms through the window into the room, not a change of shot
>Scene 4, 5 and 6 remain the same
>I have added in a scene 6.2 which shows a close up from the boy's perspective of him changing the TV channels
>Scene 7 remains the same
>I have added in a scene 7.2 showing a close up of the female character eating a pill
>Scene 8 doesn't exist anymore, has been replaced with scene 7.2
>Scene 9, 10 and 11 remain the same
>Scene 12 is now the girl eating the pill from a frontal view, same as scene 7.2
>Scene 13 is the same
>Scene 14, I will zoom to the poster rather than just blur out the characters.
>Scene 15 will be mixed with scene 14 where I zoom past the characters and into the poster before fading out.

I have created the audio with a collection of sound clips found online from the site:

www.freesound.org

I then loaded these files into garage band (my final cut pro stopped working) and after having worked out the timing of each scene, I put the clips together and played around with their levels until I was happy with it. This process took a VERY long time, probably a good 10 hour day of work, but in the end I am really happy with the result. I got the TV sound clips (the movie/news reports etc) from clips on youtube and then downloaded the audio on:

www.listentoyoutube.com

I had to watch a lot of videos to find the right kind of audio with subject matter linking into my theme.

You can hear clips from MTV movie awards broadcast, news reports on prescription drugs and young people, pornography, a clip from a violent movie and a clip reporting on war.

I then exported the file and loaded it into after effects to match up with my images.
